ANNOUNCEMENTS
Trash Free Texas Adopt-A-Spot Tool
The Houston-Galveston Area Council, in partnership with the North Central Texas Council of Governments and the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, is working to increase Adopt-A-Spot locations in the Houston-Galveston region. The Trash Free Texas tool can assist communities in connecting people with places by helping volunteers find local areas in need of litter cleanups, without communities needing to create a separate system. Communities and local organizations can submit "spots" to be adopted, and Trash Free Texas will add them to the website's interactive map with a local contact for volunteers to coordinate with. A recording on the Adopt-A-Spot Tool Training is available on YouTube.
