Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Brazoria Extension Office
21017 CR 171, Angleton, TX 77515

The Houston-Galveston Area Council is hosting a free workshop on different funding and assistance programs that can help with improving wastewater infrastructure. The focus will be on resources available to help small, rural communities plan and implement wastewater infrastructure improvements.

Any officials or staff from local communities, MUDs, or drainage districts who may need to make wastewater infrastructure improvements in the coming decades are encouraged to attend, as these projects require long-term planning.

Speakers will include representatives from:
- Texas Water Development Board, Funding Opportunities for Water and Wastewater Infrastructure
- Texas Department of Agriculture, Community Development Block Grant Program
- TCEQ Small Business and Local Government Assistance Section
- East Aldine District, a local entity's experience with the process

A hybrid option is available via Zoom, but in-person attendance is highly encouraged for folks in Brazoria County and surrounding areas to allow for networking and direct communication with the different speakers. The hybrid portion will cover the speaker presentations, and the last half hour will be reserved for in-person discussion with the speakers.
